What Is Technical Remote Viewing?

Technical Remote Viewing (TRV) is a highly structured and standardized technique that allows you to consistently obtain accurate psychically derived information, on demand, using a rigorously applied set of protocols. TRV is a trained ability to acquire direct knowledge of things and events - targets - distant in time or space, while conscious awareness remains totally "blind" to details about the target itself. The TRV techniques result in an accurate transfer of information from the viewer's unconscious mind into conscious awareness, before the aware, creative, and analytical part of the mind has time to distort, contaminate, or otherwise interfere with the data flow. The target information is then converted into words or sketches, using only a pen and plain white paper. During this process, the viewer becomes linked directly to the collective unconscious - also referred to as the Matrix. The process works whether the target is in the next room or on the other side of the world. This information can exist anywhere in time or at any point in the Universe, as mind exists outside of time and space. Technical Remote Viewing is a data collection skill. Like any other skill, practice is required to become proficient. Technical Remote Viewing History: How Did Technical Remote Viewing Originate?

"It (TRV) is a very systematic, very controlled method of accessing information that is not normally available by any other source... It is independent of time.. I can go present, I can go future. It is independent of location, so I can go anywhere on this earth, I can go into any closet, I can go into any mind..It is independent of space, therefore, I can access that information any place on the planet or off of it if I choose."
- Major General Albert Stubblebine,
former PSI TECH Chairman Of The Board and commanding officer of the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM)

All humans possess the innate potential to be trained to retrieve detailed information on a remote target, using only their minds, but this ability was not known to science until relatively recently. It was not until the late twentieth century when the U.S. intelligence community poured millions of research dollars into the area of psychic functioning that a true breakthrough was realized. In an effort to use psychics for intelligence gathering purposes, the Defense Intelligence Agency contracted Stanford Research Institute to develop a reliable technique that could be used to collect accurate information on distant targets. The outcome of this research was a set of protocols and a training program that allowed virtually anyone to be trained to perceive psychically derived information, while surpassing the accuracy of the best known natural psychics. This breakthrough was made possible after a psychic named Ingo Swann turned his attention inward, examining his own process, which allowed him to create an effective model of how the human mind accesses and collects psychic information. The techniques were taught to a prototype team of military intelligence officers and tested, refined, and employed for over ten more years against the United States' most difficult intelligence problems. For the first time, a remote viewer could learn how to consistently separate imagination from true target data and remain locked on to the target signal. Unlike earlier research involving natural psychics and "out-of-body experiences," the trained remote viewer worked fully conscious at a state of high attention. The protocols were designed to slowly bring the viewer to closer target contact, working from the general to the specific, collecting bits and pieces of data in a specific and structured manner, with all viewers following the same rigorously applied multi stage process. TRV Applications
The technology exceeded all expectations. In the Defense Intelligence Agency's remote viewing "psychic spy" unit, these remote viewing procedures were tested against top secret and distant targets often involving life or death situations - a motivating factor which simply does not exist in the laboratory research environment. The work these viewers produced had to be accurate and they used it to save lives, find hostages and solve complex problems involving the security of the United States. This resulted in improvements in the techniques and training regimen and brought great strides in perfecting the accuracy of the skill. It was now a highly accurate military intelligence collection and problem solving tool, applied by highly disciplined military intelligence officers. One of the training officers of the remote viewing unit formed a private corporation, in 1989, and the former presiding General of INSCOM (Intelligence Security Command) sat on the board of directors, to help usher this technology out of the confines of secrecy and into the private sector. That company is PSI TECH, Inc. PSI TECH employed many of the current and former military remote viewers and continued to work projects for the U.S. government and intelligence community. PSI TECH soon began accepting corporate contracts and eventually offered an intensive week long professional development course allowing people from all walks of life to learn the skill of TRV. However, there was a two year waiting list and students were required to fly to Beverly Hills, CA. In 1996, an affordable videotape based training system was developed that made the training available to more people, allowing a student to learn at his/her own pace. The distance learning method was taken to a new level in 2002 when The TRV University online training campus was created, offering unparalleled support and training opportunities for students.

When Remote Viewing, Where Does The Information Come From?

Think of all of the information in the entire universe existing as patterns of information, at a single dimensional space. Think of a computer disk, except this library of information is active. It isn't passive like a regular library or a random access memory disk. It's as if your personal unconscious mind is interfacing with a library that's talking to you. And the way that the books are stored, in this collective unconscious, is in the form of information patterns. Each of these patterns is unique for every person, every place, every thing and every event. When Technical Remote Viewing, you are turning your unconscious mind toward these specific patterns of information that you or your tasker is interested in, in a consistent and very accurate manner, producing descriptions in terms of words, and sketches that fit this pattern - this target. That is essentially the way that the unconscious mind communicates data to conscious awareness, when your mind is trained in this skill.

Properly creating a target cue is analogous to an internet search, or a library search for those of you who are unfamiliar with internet search engines. In a library, you fill out your library card, and you give it to the librarian, and if you're interested in, let's say Abraham Lincoln, the librarian comes back with several books, or tomes, on Abraham Lincoln. If you're interested in something that's more specific that only existed momentarily, then you might only get one book. If you conducted a library search or an internet search on something that was an abstract or general term like "medical cures," you'd get dozens of books. Because, in that case, you're dealing with a very general term that is associated with other abstract ideas, a problem for instance, that affects many different things. And so, for us, in our library search of what we call the Matrix, or the collective unconscious, this is a very unwieldy search term. However, if you select a specific disease as a search term, the results will be limited to that specific cure or treatment. So, using our model, that is essentially how the process works and how information is downloaded.

When you learn TRV from PSI TECH's training courses, we are training your unconscious to do all of the work, by only giving conscious awareness a Target Reference Number™, and that is all that conscious awareness has, just a number that is associated with the target and the TRV protocols. Think of it as a library card number, and your unconscious mind performs the research. And the real breakthrough in Technical Remote Viewing was teaching people the protocols, methods, and the techniques to make sure that their unconscious mind turns itself toward the right pattern of information and that the information that is objectified in terms of words and sketches about the target is correct.

These ingenious protocols keep your conscious mind occupied, writing down the information, in a highly structured manner, so that your conscious analytical mind is unable to interfere with the unconscious processing of the data. And through practice, you are installing the procedures and correct order of the stages into your autonomic nervous system, much like learning a martial art. Your unconscious mind becomes trained and knows exactly what you want to do, each time you engage in a remote viewing session.

Technical Remote Viewing is a learned skill as well as a science. A skill like skiing or ice skating, and everybody does it the same way. That is why the results are consistent - because the techniques are rigorous and standardized and were perfected in the most demanding environment.

Is Remote Viewing Like Channeling, telepathy, an "Out of Body" Experience, Meditation, or Tarot Card Reading?

Technical Remote Viewing is unlike anything you have ever experienced previously and is difficult to fully understand until you have learned the techniques yourself. When engaged in a Technical Remote Viewing session, you are accessing direct knowledge about your target, downloading information as it exists as a pattern of information in The Matrix. (Please note that the "Matrix" or Collective Unconscious predates and has no relationship with the "Matrix" shown in the series of recent Hollywood films.) While at work, a viewer’s mind-body state could be generally characterized as one of high attention. (To an unwitting observer, a PSI TECH viewer could easily be mistaken for someone engaged in an attempt to solve a difficult math or science problem). Information is decoded from the general to the specific, written in the form of words and sketches, in a highly structured order. When you learn TRV, you are training your mind and your autonomic nervous system, similar to learning a martial art. The techniques were developed for use by the U.S. military and continually refined and perfected in the private sector during the last 14 years. There is nothing random about the process, and all Technical Remote Viewers do it the same way. It is this set of robotic rigorously applied protocols that make the process reliable and highly accurate.

Telepathy is a process where one person attempts to read the mind of another individual, via a direct connection from one person to the other. Although TRV can be used to probe the minds of individuals, telepathy (or a "beaconing" experiment) is not what we are doing here. TRV is also unlike an "out of body experience." When you are TRVing, you are fully conscious and alert while following the structured TRV protocols. TRV can be performed on demand at any time and the TRVer is trained to separate imagination or analysis from true target data. An out of body experience occurs after one is in a state of rest, and although tested in the early days of the research program, it was found to not be as reliable as the structured remote viewing protocols. Technical Remote Viewing is not channeling. Channeling, historically related to the occult, means that a person is receiving information directly from an "entity" of some sort. The information is filtered through this entity, who may have an agenda, and who may be lying or manipulating you. TRV unlike like meditation. While meditating one is in a relaxed and often altered state, usually with eyes closed and completely unaware of one's immeidate surroundings. This is not remote viewing, nor is tarot card reading.

What Can Technical Remote Viewing Be Used For?

Before Technical Remote Viewing was brought into the private sector by PSI TECH, the United States Defense Intelligence Agency first used it as a data collection tool. A mere handful of highly trained remote viewers were utilized in highly classified and clandestine operations to retrieve intelligence information on America's cold war enemies around the globe. When changes of leadership brought turmoil and uncertainty to the continued existence of the government's Remote viewing program, PSI TECH was formed as a private corporation, and Technical Remote Viewing remained a valuable resource to the company's former defense department clients. Knowing that anyone could learn this incredible skill, one of PSI TECH's goals was to make Technical Remote Viewing available to the common laymen. But before developing the Technical Remote Viewing tapes, the majority of PSI TECH's income came from the private sector, corporations and companies who hired PSI TECH to remote view targets relating to various aspects of future technology and business, and from the training of company personnel to do it themselves.

But most of us do not work for Intelligence, or in the highly classified business arena of major corporations. Since PSI TECH's creation of the Technical Remote Viewing tapes, and their availability to the public, some of the most frequently asked questions by those interested in this skill, are, "What are the every day practical applications of Technical Remote Viewing? Can I use this skill on a personal level? Can I make money with it?"

When asking yourself, what are the practical applications of Technical Remote Viewing, keep in mind that the collective unconscious, or "Matrix", is like a giant library of information. It contains every idea, thought, event, person, and place that has ever happened, is currently happening, or is destined to happen. Technical Remote Viewing allows your mind to connect with this library, and download the information. The practical applications of Technical Remote Viewing, both on a personal level and on a professional one, are limited only by the creativity of the remote viewer.

Optimum Trajectories are perhaps the most valuable way Technical Remote Viewing (TRV) is used on a practical and personal level. Optimum TrajectoryTM sessions are used to find your ultimate life path. Most of us have at least two paths in our future; the one we are currently on, which is our current trajectory, and our Optimum Trajectory, which is the path that leads us to complete happiness and self fulfillment. By remote viewing your Optimum Trajectory on a regular basis, you are able to make choices that set you on that optimum path, based on data you receive from your session. In addition to finding your overall optimum life path, Optimum Trajectory sessions can also be specified to find your optimum mate, career, health, education, location, or sanctuary.

As an example of an Optimum Trajectory session, a retired FBI agent was taking PSI TECH's Professional Development Course, under the training of Joni Dourif. He was given his Optimum Trajectory as a blind target (blind meaning he did not know what he was viewing at the time, but was just given a set of random numbers). He began his session by describing a man who was in a room, doing what he was doing. He was remote viewing himself without realizing it, even describing his weight, height, family, and his home. He began to get data on this man having a heart attack, followed by elements of a gym. After he was done and saw the target cue, the man went home and visited his doctor. He was informed that he had a blocked artery, and was told that he would have a heart attack if he did not take care of it immediately. If he had not been given his Optimum Trajectory as a target, he would not have known about the artery, and would have had the attack. Although this is an example of a blind session, a trained remote viewer can do their Optimum Trajectory frontloaded (meaning they know what the target cue is before doing the session.)

As another example, PSI TECH was training a neurosurgeon who was also given his Optimum Trajectory as a target, blind. At the time, he was married and had a child. In the session, he remote viewed a man living alone in one of his country homes. During the session, he went further into the future to see what was going to happen to this man, and he perceived him with some kind of high tech device, living with an young Asian woman, and extremely happy. Years later, Joni Dourif visited the man, and found that he had retired from being an active neurosurgeon, was no longer with his first wife, and he was now working with renowned scientists on the cutting edge of discovering a new medical device. He was about to marry an attractive, young Japanese woman.

Optimum Trajectories can also be used to find your optimum career. A current TRV student gave his Optimum Career Trajectory for the next 30 days, to two other TRV students to remote view blind. At that time, he was working a mundane job, barely eking out a living. The two students got corroborating data of "working hard" and "sweating", and individual data of "fixing something", a person in a car, "tools", and "just rained". The data pointed to a job working outside, while his current job was indoors. The student then sent his resume to several job prospects, and within a few days was working as a catastrophe insurance adjuster. The new job entailed hard work, out in the field, sweating, driving to different locations in his car with his tools, usually to fix something. The calls were typically after a storm, when it had just rained. He made more money in one month than in six months at his previous job.

In addition to Optimum Trajectories, TRV can also be used for finding lost items. One student has used it to find the location of a friend's lost dog, his wife's misplaced keys, and a friend's missing diary. Another student used her skills to locate her missing amethyst ring.

This technology can also be used to locate buried treasure and lost fortunes. In fact, many Technical Remote Viewing trainees have used TRV for personal gain. One former student successfully uses it to determine the winners of greyhound races. His winnings to date total over $55,000. Another former student uses it for gambling. In horse races, he picks a small race of eight horses and remote views each horse for that race, then successfully bets on the horse whose TRV session shows the most positive data and emotions of winning. Another trainee used TRV to pick winning baseball teams.

TRV is also an excellent tool for use in the business sector. PSI TECH's clients include leaders of Fortune 500 corporations. It can be used to go into the future to forecast business trends, explore future technologies and look for specific catalyst technologies, methodologies or systems. Geologists have been trained to find large mineral deposits, oil and gold. PSI TECH has trained the CEO of the largest gold company in the world. Through TRV, PSI TECH picked up on the GPS-Global Positioning Systems for autos-which was at the time still undeveloped, and unbeknownst to PSI TECH, was being worked on by the Japanese.

A very significant application of TRV is used in law enforcement. PSI TECH has trained law enforcement at the level of the FBI. One former trainee, a detective, uses it to help solve difficult cases. It can be utilized to catch criminals, find missing persons, or in locating drug operations. In the military or government intelligence arena, TRV has been used to locate remote enemy targets, to find hostages, and collect intelligence data on foreign government facilities. In late 1991, during the Gulf War, PSI TECH provided intelligence on Saddam Hussein to the National Security Council and located Iraq's hidden biological warfare stockpiles for the United Nations. TRV can be used to find out where an enemy's next attack will occur, and what that attack will entail. It can be used to help find the best strategy or plan of attack on an enemy country, or to find solutions to peace.

PSI TECH has also trained medical doctors. The applications of TRV in the medical field are numerous. It can be used to find cures and develop new technologies for healing. Used in conjunction with mainstream medical techniques, it can be used to pinpoint specific areas of trouble, and help to find solutions. TRV can be applied to all aspects of this field, from aging and life extensions, to paralysis and regeneration, to autoimmune disorders. In the area of science, the applications are equally as numerous. PSI TECH has trained aeronautic engineers and NASA employees. PSI TECH has used TRV to find out about anomalies on Mars, to view the cause of NASA's Orbiter disappearance, and to explore the possibilities of extraterrestrial life. One former trainee, a paleontologist, is digging a site that was discovered using TRV. In any area of science where answers to mysteries are sought, or hidden locations or objects are desired, TRV is an effective and practical tool. A professor of history and former PSI TECH trainee uses it in his historical research, as a tool for uncovering new and exciting historical information.

Another valuable use for TRV is to examine unexplained or anomalous phenomena. PSI TECH's remote viewers have looked at the cause of Crop Circles, the existence of Angels, and The Afterlife. In many cases the information retrieved in the blind by trained remote viewers does not match our preconceived expectations. The TRV protocols allow us to effectively bypass what we "think" we know or what we assume about a target beforehand. Technical Remote Viewing can be used to find out if an individual event has been hoaxed, or if it is real. Click here to read the article "The Real X-Files." Technical Remote Viewing is a data collection tool that allows a trained individual to download from the collective unconscious, or Matrix, direct knowledge on any person, place, thing, or event, in not only the present time, but the past and future as well. Because of the universal nature of the Matrix, and its existence outside of space and time, the ways in which Technical Remote Viewing can be applied on a personal, professional, and practical level are virtually limitless.

The Real History of Remote Viewing

The facts regarding Remote Viewing History have become a controversial issue over the past decade.

When PSI TECH first introduced Remote Viewing to the public in 1989 nobody, except for only a few who were intimately involved, knew of its existence and that is where the confusion began.

There were PSI researchers from the 70's who had some experience with early involvement researching psychic phenomena and even though they did witness some interesting results, they did not discover anything very new or any great breakthroughs. However, a few years later, world renowned physicist, Hal Puthoff picked up the ball again and was granted $50,000 to conduct his own investigation to find a way to train people to become psychic. He began working solely with New York psychic, Ingo Swann. The two discovered the working remote viewing protocols which were then taken from them in 1983 by US Army Intelligence and put to the test by a small operational unit which consisted of only a few trained individuals. The Remote Viewing unit was housed under the directorate of the Defense Intelligence Agency at Fort Meade. Ingo Swan and Hal Puthoff were no longer involved and only a very select few knew of the units existence. The group was tasked with real world targets and they did provide useful adjunct Intel in many life and death crisis situations. Towards the end of the 80's word began to trickle out around the Intelligence community about this strange group of army Intel gatherers and people who did not understand it, grew suspicious and afraid.

In 1988 a turn over of administration caused the unit to fall into a disarray of administrators, so one General, one Major and one Colonel took the initiative to usher the RV technology into the private sector by forming a corporation that would pledge to keep the technology unadulterated and pure, PSI TECH was formed in 1989 to accomplish this mission.

Normally, privatizing a classified top secret technology would be against army policy but influential folks in high places had witnessed the technology's effectiveness and feared that it would be lost when the unit fell into chaos.

PSI TECH continued to work for government agencies as a private consulting company and in 1991 moved from Washington DC to Albuquerque, New Mexico

In 1994, Jonina Dourif became PSI TECH's Vice President and PSI TECH relocated from its headquarters in New Mexico to Beverly Hills, California. Shortly afterwards, PSI TECH also opened a satellite office on the island of Maui in the state of Hawaii.

As the civilian sector learned of this new phenomenal technique that could train anybody to be more consistently accurate then the worlds best psychics, many opportunists began making similar claims and selling fraudulent training systems. The market place has since become littered with hundreds of false Remote Viewing methods and many deceptive Remote Viewers' claims.

PSI TECH maintains that there is only "one Method" and anybody who claims otherwise is selling you a lie or their version of Remote Viewing. PSI TECH initially trained everybody in the civilian sector and some early students, like Courtney Brown, formed their own schools and changed what he learned to market his own version of the original TRV protocols.

PSI TECH does not endorse people who change the TRV protocols before they have even become proficient Remote Viewers in the original protocols they were taught. This would be the equivalent of having a person who only just learned to fly an airplane become a master instructor. Unfortunately, the spread of inexperienced teachers of remote viewing have created a polluted marketplace littered with unskilled practitioners who do not represent the true effectiveness of this very valuable and powerful technology.

And as if the waters weren't muddied enough, there is also the problem of the pre-discovery researchers from the 70's who surfaced to cash in on the Remote Viewing fad that was underway. But they are selling older versions of Remote Viewing before the breakthrough discovery of the protocols in the early 80's.

It is important to distinguish the difference between the "RV research program" which was funded by the CIA that involved Ed May & Joe McMoneagle, Russell Targ & Keith Herary and the Super Secret "RV Operational Unit" which was initiated by INSCOM and coveted under the umbrella of the DIA to utilize the discovered protocols. The latter was funded by the US ARMY and was initially run under the supervision of General Albert Stubblebine then handed off to General Edwin Thompson and then, passed over to Dr. Jack Verona. Under Jack Verona the unit fell into chaos when civilian administrators (such as Dale Graff) brought in tarot card readers and Channelors to work with the trained remote viewers. It was at this point that the operational unit split up and the trained RVers went to work for PSI TECH.

In 1990 "CIA research" picked the Remote Viewing unit up and named it "Stargate." They hired Ray Hyman and Jessica Utts as professional research evaluators to asses the Remote Viewing program. Although there were no trained Remote viewers left the CIA conducted the study as a strategy in order to document the evaluation as "minimally effective" and then to mount a damage control campaign in the public as a responsive action to a book that PSI TECH was about to release through Random House.

The funny part is that PSI TECH stopped the release of the book at the last minute while the CIA"s damage control campaign was already under way. The public first saw the CIA's public relations campaign about the declassification of their Remote Viewing research with Joe McMoneagle, Jessica Utts and Ray Hyman on Night line hosted by Ted Koppel in 1995.

Remote Viewing historical facts are still quashed by some who want to maintain a premise that the "RV OPs unit" and the "RV Research Program"program were one and the same but this is not the case at all. Joe McMoneagle, who was the main test subject for the "RV research program", did not even know about the "RV operational unit" until he was paraded on TV in 1995 by the CIA's public relations damage control campaign. (Note: that is why he did not know who PSI TECH was then).

The facts are contradicted and remain unclear to the public partially because of people's basic lack of knowledge of Military protocols and the Intelligence communities strategies of compartmentalization.

The DIA's Operational unit has still not been officially declassified but General Albert Stubblebine has spoken of the RV Operations publicly (which you can read here) and General Edwin Thompson, Colonel John Alexander, Dr, Hal Puthoff, Ingo Swan and Senator Norm Dix have spoken about it publicly also in a BBC documentary titled "The Real X-Files" which has played numerous times in the U.S. on the Discovery Channel. Because of their candid truthfulness, one can say that the Remote Viewing Operational Unit has been "unofficially declassified".

PSI TECH'continues to forge forward revealing the true history of this break through technology and teaching the original protocols in their most effective form because we believe as our founders did that we hold the seed of a new evolution of consciousness.

How Can I Learn Technical Remote Viewing?

The best option is The Technical Remote Viewing University online training campus. The TRV University is a comprehensive web-based program that delivers unparalleled convenience, flexibility and real-time support to our students. All coursework is completed entirely online via videotaped lectures, monitored sessions, and online workbook instruction. For one year after enrollment, you have access to our online training forums where you may ask your instructors questions 24 hours a day, participate in weekly target training, and post your training sessions for critique. Students may also schedule live private online tutoring. TRV 101 and TRV 201 are each designed to be completed in as little as six weeks. Upon successful completion, students receive a signed certificate of graduation. TRV University, introduced in 2002, is PSI TECH's most effective TRV training option and is recommended for students who wish to achieve remote viewing mastery. To learn more, click here.

Option two is the family of Generation II videotape based self-study courses, our most affordable training system. PSI TECH was the first to offer training services to the public in the early 1990's and later pioneered remote viewing distance learning in 1996 when we released the long anticipated first generation TRV video training course. After evaluating student progress and performance for several years, in 2000 PSI TECH completely redesigned and updated these courses incorporating new training techniques including our Directed Learning technology which resulted in students learning TRV faster and more effectively. The Generation II training courses are designed for at-home independent study, with online access to supplemental training targets. Unlike our premiere TRV University training, the Generation II videotape based courses do not include access to PSI TECH's 24 hour technical support system. To learn more, click here.
